Monte Cassino School is a Catholic Benedictine, independent, co-ed school, Grades PK3-8, with an Early Childhood Learning Center (PK3-K), Elementary School (grades 1-4), and Middle School (grades 5-8) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Qualifications

JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Keeping children safe by supervising and maintaining classroom order throughout school day
  • Following lesson plans provided by classroom teacher or other designated teacher
  • Performing all auxiliary duties on the absent teacher’s schedule (i.e. before school, lunch, recess and/or after school duty
  • Performing other duties as assigned by administration

Expectations When Supervising:

Use a calm voice to address children. Spread out in the areas to ensure all students can be seen. Walk around so you can see and hear how students are treating one another. Address and correct poor behavior. Never tell children to go work it out on their own.

Expectations When Grading Student Papers:

Grade as directed by the teacher. If grade is below a 70 percent, do not write the grade on the paper, simply write the number correct over the total number possible. Teachers should not be interrupted while teaching just to ask questions about grading. Papers should be returned to teachers within two to three days of receiving them with the exception of extenuating circumstances that prevent the assistant from completing them.
