Position: Math & Engineering Program Manager (Grant Funded)

The Mathematics & Engineering Program Manager will serve programs within the school of Mathematics & Engineering in three primary areas (1) student outreach and retention, (2) employer relations, and (3) grant management. The Program Manager is a dedicated resource and internal advocate focused on enhancing the success of first‑generation, low‑income, and underserved students within Tulsa Community College’s workforce certificates in the School of Mathematics & Engineering.

The Program Manager will oversee the integration of wraparound services, ensuring students are aware of and can access vital resources such as scholarships, supplies, and tutoring. This role also involves implementing a measurement and evaluation plan to track the effectiveness of initiatives and demonstrate sustainable pathways for student success. Furthermore, the Program Manager will supervise the Outreach and Retention Specialists in the School of Mathematics & Engineering, who support both credit and noncredit certification programs for high school and adult learners.

Collaboration with external stakeholders, particularly area employers, will be essential for designing and implementing new strategies focused on improving student engagement and satisfaction. Competitive candidates will possess experience working with low‑income and underserved populations and strong organizational skills, particularly as related to grant management and knowledge of or experience in educational institutions.

This is a grant funded position.Employer Relations

Develop, organize, and maintain relationships between employers and Mathematics & Engineering programs and faculty and staff. Chair program advisory boards and develop and oversee other similar initiatives.

Recruitment

In collaboration with others, develop and implement strategies to recruit underserved, low‑income, first‑generation, and other student populations to Mathematics & Engineering programs. Collaborate with other TCC departments to support information‑sharing sessions at area high schools, career fairs, TCC events, and industry facilities.

Grant Management

Provide leadership in the development of objectives and performance outcome measures that are assessed quarterly on 9 Engineering Tech Certificate Programs. Submit routine reports as requested for internal and external grant compliance. Manage and administer a complex federal and non‑federal budget. Collect, organize, and share occupational data to internal and external partners as needed.

Collaboration

Work collaboratively with the Dean, TCC staff including Sponsored Programs, Dual Credit, Workforce Development, Admissions, Advising, Career Services, and Engineering Tech Advisory Board, in addition with external partners to coordinate efforts within the Certificate programs, support students, and advance industry needs. Collaboration goals include developing strategies that support student enrollment, retention, program completion, success, and continuous improvement.

Case Management

Develop, implement, and manage a student case management strategy to track students' progress towards the completion of a certificate, scholarship allotment, student support needs, and job placement post certificate award. Case management includes routine communication, up-to-date student list, etc.

Marketing

Develop, implement, and manage a marketing strategy, including outreach to current and prospective students, area high school counselors, regional industries, Workforce Development offices, etc.

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM‑related field, including, but not limited to, Computer Information Systems and Data Management. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.
