As part of Tulsa City-County Library's Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program, the
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Coordinator
will help connect children and families with free, high-quality books while building partnerships to expand the program's reach throughout Tulsa County. From community events and family engagement to partnerships and program growth, your work will help ensure more children have the opportunity to build their own home libraries and develop a lifelong love of reading.
- Plans and executes Imagination Library events, including Dolly Week programming and the Imagination Library Graduation ceremony, coordinating logistics, partnerships, and marketing to ensure strong community engagement and program visibility;
- Serves as primary liaison to The Dollywood Foundation, managing monthly book invoices, maintaining the Book Ordering System, and ensuring brand compliance in all communication and marketing efforts; shares lessons learned from Tulsa County as appropriate;
- Creates internal documents and procedures to streamline program operations across library branches;
- Develops and makes public presentations to community civic clubs, corporate supporters, and collaborators to generate funding and support for the Imagination Library of Tulsa County;
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience integrating these values into community engagement strategies;
- Develops short- and long-termgoals and timely implements them to increase programenrollmentand ensureequitableaccess;
- Works with organizations and individuals reflecting the diversity of Tulsa to reduce barriers to program enrollment and generate ideas for maximizing participation among diverse communities of Tulsa;
- Researches and identifies opportunities for grants, sponsor ships, and donations to support program funding;
- Manages and supports a cohort of trained volunteers who promote the Imagination Library throughout Tulsa County; responsible for ongoing volunteer onboarding and coaching;
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills; able to work independently while advancing team and organizational goals;
- Flexible and comfortable working within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions ina timelyand decisive manner;
- Must be able to travel extensively within Tulsa County.
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred related fields include nonprofit management/administration, early childhood education, social work, or communication;
Master’s Degree in Library Science preferred; - Community engagement or outreach experience preferred;
- Early literacy or early childhood development experience is preferred;

Status:Full-Time- 40 hrs./week
Competitive pay and a full benefit package (medical, dental, retirement, paid time off) are offered with this position.
While this position is a member of the Tulsa City-County Library staff, it is only guaranteed for the duration of donor funding, which will be reviewed on a yearly basis.
ScheduleMonday - Friday: 8 am - 5 pm, with the availability to flex hours and work evenings and weekends as needed to attend various programs and events.
Physical Activity & Environmental ConditionsWork routine requires lifting of moderately heavy items, such as equipment, boxes (up to 40 pounds) and/or very long periods of walking on a routine basis, and/or standing for long periods of time and/or frequently requires stooping and bending.
There are no major sources of discomfort; work is essentially conducted in a normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions.
Routine in-town travel with occasional out-of-town trips.
