** Position Overview
** This role will provide advanced analytical support and project management responsibilities for various energy and financial matters including generation marketing, power supply planning and financial planning projects.
** Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
*** Leads The Energy Authority (TEA) in developing:  + Portfolio models for power cost budgeting/forecasting and to support power and gas hedging strategies; and  + Production cost models for longer-term resource planning analyses.
* Manages the transmission service request process and NITS Application strategy ensuring that GRDA obtains and maintains sufficient firm transmission service for meeting its resource adequacy requirements at the lowest possible cost.
* Manages the energy cost accounting processes for the generation portfolio and for natural gas  commodity purchases and pipeline transportation agreements.
* Participates in SPP working groups as appropriate.
* Maintains in-depth working knowledge of the SPP Tariff.
* Guides the development and negotiation of power purchase agreements and special customer agreements (e.g., large customers taking service under the Supplemental Supply Rider).
* Assists in the development of new rate schedules and riders.
* Conducts bilateral settlements for customer-owned generation.
* Provides additional oversight of the Energy Accounting department: reviewing SPP settlements and shadow calculations and filing disputes as needed.
* Compiles and analyzes the monthly P&L reports for the GRDA resource portfolio.  + Compiles various market related reports for Finance, Management and the Board.
* Interfaces with the SPP Market Monitoring Portal to ensure compliance related to the GRDA resource portfolio.
* Subject matter expert on PCI (GRDA’s bid-to-bill energy management system).
* Provides guidance, mentorship, and hands-on training to team members,
** Education, Training,

Experience:

*** Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business management or related field.
* Minimum six years of related experience with an electric utility.
* Experience in energy market operations within an RTO.
** Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities:
*** Advanced knowledge of generation operations, RTO market dynamics, and energy accounting principles.
* Progressive competency with personal computers, with a high level of proficiency with MS Excel and BI analytics.
* Experience with bid-to-bill energy management systems.
* Effective critical thinking and analytical skills for issue assessment.
* Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional and multidisciplinary team environments.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; skilled in influencing and persuading diverse stakeholders.
** Certificates, Registrations, Licenses:
*** Valid Oklahoma driver’s license, or the ability to convert within 30 days for those with an out of state driver’s license that are an Oklahoma resident.

*** Work may be performed at one of various GRDA office locations in Northeast Oklahoma.
