As a Designer Lead, you will guide a team of design personnel to support operations, maintenance, and capital projects. Your primary focus will be mentorship, project planning, resource allocation, and ensuring high‑quality deliverables that meet codes and company standards.

• Guide a design team to effectively meet project objectives and review work to ensure quality standards.
• Recommend methods, techniques, and procedures; assist in scheduling, prioritizing, and setting completion dates; provide metrics for recurring reports.
• Monitor and track progress of design projects and communicate status to partners.
• Assist Design Leaders, Supervisors, Project Managers and Engineers with scope, schedule and budget definition for new projects requiring design and drafting activities.
• Act as the primary contact between internal and external business partners to establish upfront expectations, assignment criteria, progress reporting, and general communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Required: High school diploma/GED and Technical School with a CADD Certificate or equivalent experience; minimum 10 years of drafting experience, including 5 years of independent design assignments and 5 years in leadership roles within the energy, oil & gas, or utilities industry.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of drafting experience, with 10 years of independent design assignments and 5 years leading multi‑project teams; PMP Certification.
