Civil / Structural Engineer, PE

Summary: The Structural Engineer coordinates with other engineering disciplines and designers to complete the designs for dozens of reinforced concrete foundations and steel structures including natural gas plants.

• Coordination with team engineers, other engineering disciplines, designers, project manager and project schedulers to support construction schedule
• Perform detailed structural engineering
• Perform detailed checking of drawings, calculations, and documents of the team
• Train and mentor team engineers
• Provide responses for construction questions and issues that arise
• Maintain status of various foundation and structures to support management inquiries
• Other duties as requested by management

• Familiarity with ASCE 7, IBC, ACI 318 and PIP Standards
• Proficiency with STAAD.Pro, RAM Connection, LPILE and Microsoft Office products
• Ability to provide appropriate level of detailed evaluation to balance efforts to provide efficient and safe designs
• Be able to evaluate structures and components that do not necessarily fit applicable code

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in structural engineering
• Professional Engineering license required
• 2 years minimum experience in petrochemical plant design, foundations and structural steel
• 5 years minimum experience as a structural engineer
