We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Project Engineer with a strong background in water treatment, wastewater treatment, water infrastructure, and fabrication
.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing engineering and project activities across the full lifecycle — from project initiation, planning, and design to procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning. This role requires solid technical knowledge, practical project delivery experience, and strong coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors, along with being agile and highly motivated.

Job Description

What your day may look like:

  • Experience managing projects with design and manufacture components / experience with managing or being a senior part of construction projects.
  • Lead engineering and execution activities on water and wastewater projects from concept through commissioning.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and project scheduling including critical path analysis, time and cost risk forecasting.
  • Develop project plans including scope, budget, schedule, and risk management strategies.
  • Self- starter with the ability to work with limited supervision.
  • Good understanding of fabrication processes and quality control, ITP administration
  • Experienced working across cross-functional teams and departments.
  • Proven ability to effectively work across multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Commercial acumen with experience writing commercial letters, variations, and project documentation.
  • Prepare and issue technical specifications and procurement packages for equipment and materials.
  • Oversee fabrication works (e.g., skids, tanks, pipework) and ensure quality and schedule compliance.
  • Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning activities on site, ensuring safety and performance requirements are met.
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks and manage resources.
  • Track project progress and report on KPIs, costs, and timelines.
Desired Skills and Experience

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, or water infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience delivering projects from end to end (initiation through commissioning).
  • Hands-on experience with fabrication processes and managing fabrication vendors.
  • Solid understanding of water process systems, piping layouts, pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
  • Strong background in engineering design, drawing reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience working with subcontractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Proficient in MS Project or Primavera, AutoCAD (or other design tools), and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in desalination, advanced treatment technologies, or large-scale municipal infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with quality and HSE management systems.
