You’ll represent the company as a licensed professional engineer, responsible for major, visible projects that have an impact on our business. We need you to develop innovative services that address current and future customer needs. Teamwork is vital, but independent decision‑making is also valued. Additionally, this role handles resources and ensures return on investment!

As a subject matter expert in Power Engineering, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in engineering designs and maintenance as well as reliability best practices for electrical equipment across the company. You will provide internal power engineering support for Project Execution and Technical Services. You will interpret industry best practices, standards, and regulatory codes, and provide assessments, strategies, and recommendations for all adoptions.

• Perform sophisticated tasks and lead teams in projects of major scope and unusual complexity
• Participate in development and implementation of technical standards and specifications (e.g. electrical area classification, grounding design)
• Interpret technological aspects of business and coordinate with management to assure success
• Deliver and advise on technical presentations to management and/or external bodies (published)
• Represent the Company as a licensed professional engineer
• Develop innovative services, technologies, processes or products that address current and future customer needs
• Develop strategies for highly visible or risky projects that have significant business impact
• Influence business and/or industry trends that impact business
• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance, build improvement plans and meet training needs
• Champion processes and safety standards
• Handle resource requirements and return on investment
• Lead initiatives to enhance electrical system reliability through comprehensive root‑cause analysis, PM optimization, and advanced system studies (e.g., arc flash, load flow, coordination)
• Ensure strict adherence to OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies
• Oversee the evaluation of engineering packages to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and project objectives
• Diagnose complex electrical issues in various systems and equipment, providing expert guidance and training to field support engineers
• Design and implement robust preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems and equipment
• Conduct in‑depth power system analyses, including short‑circuit, protective device coordination, arc flash hazard, harmonics, voltage drop, load flow, transient motor start, and power factor correction studies

• Strong experience in technical documentation and engineering documentation
• Solid background in electrical engineering
• Hands‑on experience with electrical grounding systems
• Knowledge of power systems and power controls
• Experience in operation and maintenance of electrical systems
• Working knowledge of protective relays
• Understanding of electrical system reliability principles
• Experience related to power generation environments
• Deep practical electrical engineering experience is required
• Power systems experience is mandatory
• Experience in engineering design and maintenance activities

• Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
• Preferred:
