Overview
WSP is seeking a Lifecycle Project Manager for our Power & Energy Program Management Office in Tampa, FL. The successful candidate may work from a mutually acceptable location within the United States and must have the ability to travel to a WSP and/or Client office for periodic face-to-face meetings.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and communicate with all levels of management and disciplines throughout the project life cycle to support project cost and schedule objectives, both internally and within the client’s systems.
- Lead the development of project proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, cost and change management and control.
- Provide regular project reporting and updates to clients, technical leads, and business leaders, identifying emergent issues with scope, risk, and/or budget and mitigation strategies.
- Serve as the face of WSP for the client, developing and nurturing strong, long-term relationships by understanding client needs, delivering tailored solutions, and ensuring consistent communication to drive satisfaction and retention.
- Adhere to proven processes and develop new processes to standardize procedures where appropriate.
- Adhere to safety regulations and enforce project safety standards.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Project Management or Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience within an A/E/C firm, utility, EPC, or power delivery consulting environment.
- 12+ years of relevant post-education experience in a project management role within the industry.
- Strong understanding of project delivery processes with experience managing projects through various delivery models (DBB, EPC, PDB).
- Advanced analytical and organizational skills with business acumen to bridge business and project management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with leadership, subcontractors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
- Strong self-leadership with attention to detail, multitasking, and adaptability to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to work independently and provide guidance to mid-level to senior team members with adherence to QA/QC.
- Advanced proficiency with technical writing, MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, SharePoint), PM tools, and related software.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, subcontractors, consultants, and staff without formal hierarchical relationships.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to adhere to WSP’s health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and hours to meet project needs.
