Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer
. With minimal supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer will work with engineering, operations, quality, and project management to develop technical manufacturing solutions for new and existing programs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop technical manufacturing solutions to improve processes, tooling and equipment.
  • Perform research to design and develop manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and layout.
  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
  • Work with management, engineering, estimating, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules and other considerations regarding production processes.
  • Assist with resolution of customer, technical and quality issues.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, interpret and present technical and business information.
  • Ability to successfully work in a team-based environment.
  • Working with customer quality on process qualification/compliance.
  • Lead engineering efforts regarding problem solving, root cause/corrective action (RCCA) of material/process, and process improvement.
  • Review and approve individual designs, drawings, specifications, reports, as part of formal signature and release process, for components, assemblies, installations, and testing.
  • Assist with special projects and participate on process improvement teams as requested.
  • Support implementation of new product introduction.
  • Work instruction preparation/update/review/approval.
  • Support planning and work order template creation for production routings.
  • Specification review, interpretation, implementation.
  • Support Business Development with preparation of proposals and quotes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Travel Required

Some, 5‑15 % of time traveling.

Education and Experience
  • Requires a 4‑year degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience.
  • Aerospace industry knowledge is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of 3D CAD systems required. CATIA v5 is preferred.
  • Experience in sheet‑metal fabrication and chemical processing is desired.
  • Assembly engineering experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the manufacturing floor, including eye, ear, and foot protection.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
