Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. With minimal supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer will work with engineering, operations, quality, and project management to develop technical manufacturing solutions for new and existing programs.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Develop technical manufacturing solutions to improve processes, tooling and equipment.
- Perform research to design and develop manufacturing processes.
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and layout.
- Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
- Work with management, engineering, estimating, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations regarding production processes.
- Assist with resolution of customer, technical and quality issues.
- Collect, analyze, interpret and present technical and business information.
- Work successfully in a team‑based environment.
- Work with customer quality on process qualification/compliance.
- Lead engineering efforts regarding problem solving, root cause/corrective action (RCCA) of material/process, and process improvement.
- Review and approve individual designs, drawings, specifications, reports, as part of formal signature and release process, for components, assemblies, installations, and testing.
- Assist with special projects and participate on process improvement teams as requested.
- Support implementation of new product introduction.
- Prepare, update, review, and approve work instructions.
- Support planning and work order template creation for production routings.
- Conduct specification review, interpretation, and implementation.
- Support business development with the preparation of proposals and quotes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Travel required (5–15% of time).
- 4‑year degree in Engineering.
- 0‑3 years minimum related experience.
- Aerospace industry knowledge preferred.
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD systems required.
- CATIA v5 preferred.
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication and chemical processing desired.
- Assembly engineering experience preferred.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor.
- May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
