Conveyance Practice Lead / Senior Project Manager focused on water and wastewater projects and programs in Tulsa.

This position offers a strategic business opportunity to provide world‑class water & wastewater infrastructure planning and design services for major pump stations and large diameter pipelines.
Key Responsibilities- Lead major projects or programs from planning through construction. Present updates to external client stakeholders and support decision‑making. Provide oversight of the program schedule and budget using Black & Veatch’s internal processes and manage large inter‑discipline teams of internal and sub‑consultant resources.
- Lead a team that provides technical solutions and differentiation focused on water supply intakes, pump stations, large‑diameter pipelines, tunnels, wastewater lift stations, force mains, and collections systems, including condition assessment and rehabilitation.
- Provide recommendations on the client’s processes, organization, and readiness to embark on major programs and alternative project delivery.
- Support the team’s use of risk‑based assessments to develop and prioritize capital improvement programs.
- Provide project execution, quality control, and technical leadership to support large water and wastewater projects and programs and identify innovative solutions to maximize benefits to municipalities and utilities.
- Lead and provide technical expertise to support marketing and business development.
- Support pursuit, proposal, and project interview activities.
- Work closely with Client Directors and the Area Director to develop relationships with clients and decision‑makers in Tulsa.
- Help mentor professionals and grow the team by identifying high‑quality candidates and recruits.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oklahoma.
- 15+ years of relevant water engineering experience including water and wastewater infrastructure planning, asset management, CIP optimization, detailed design, and construction.
- Experience managing large water and wastewater programs and projects.
- Knowledge of local, federal, and state permitting requirements and funding mechanisms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfort in a client‑facing role discussing technical topics and solutions.
- Experience providing input and oversight of technical tasks and project teams performing studies and assessments of water and wastewater projects.
- Proficient with report writing and PowerPoint presentations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently.
- Willing and able to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

- Sitting/standing/computer usage for extended periods of time.
