Job Summary

Performs engineering and/or project management duties related to Refined Products and Crude oil assets. Duties include pipeline system planning and analysis, storage terminal operation, pump station and terminal design; processing and/or storage facility operation; and/or estimating, designing, and managing construction projects.

Responsibilities
  • Perform and support engineering and/or project management activities related to design, procurement, construction, or optimization of company assets including liquid pipelines, storage terminals, pump stations, and measurement equipment.
  • Oversee terminal storage operations, including above ground storage tanks, transfer pumps, manifolds, vapor recovery, truck loading/unloading, marine vessel loading/unloading, gas liquid and liquid piping.
  • Develop construction plans and implementation strategies; manage third‑party contract resources.
  • Provide technical and engineering assistance on equipment/system design, pipeline sizing, evaluation, control, and facility construction, operation, and maintenance.
  • Support policies, procedures, and process safety.
  • Participate in project management activities such as bid proposals, contracts, AFE preparation, cost management, and management of change (MOC).
  • Create and update schedules, timelines, and project progress reports; manage change orders.
  • Identify equipment efficiencies, perform hydraulic calculations, determine valve and pipeline sizing, and conduct engineering analysis.
  • Research, compile, and prepare engineering studies, governmental rules, regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Analyze measurement systems, propose improvements, and conduct economic analysis for potential new projects.
  • Assist with implementation of new processes and enhancements to improve capacity, operating costs, operability, process safety and environmental compliance.
Education

Bachelor's Degree in engineering. (Preferred: FE/EIT or PE).

Work Experience
  • 5–12 years in an engineering related role with project management.
  • Experience in engineering design and knowledge of criteria for pipeline or storage systems.
  • Experience in engineering operations and/or project management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Access, Word.
  • Experience researching and preparing project materials, design specifications, contracts, agreements, budgets, engineering studies, reports, forms, and correspondence.
  • Experience identifying, researching, understanding, evaluating, and prioritizing operational problems and coordinating appropriate action.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of pipelines and/or hydrocarbon processing facilities design, construction, operation, and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, surveys, charts, load studies, and other relevant reports.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize assignments with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to apply math, algebraic formulas, and statistical methods.
  • Ability to interact, negotiate, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to operate office tools and equipment.
  • Ability to communicate ideas, information, and technical material in a clear, organized manner.
Licenses and Certifications

None required. FE/EIT or PE preferred.
