Job Summary
Demonstrated capability in data creation, manipulation, management, and cartography. Proficiency in field survey methods and GPS concepts. Familiar with a range of analytical tools for data manipulation, geospatial data modeling, and database development.
Responsibilities- Create, revise and maintain technical data used for reports, maps and sketches.
- Create, revise and maintain material and property equipment records.
- Obtain information required to perform work from multiple resources including verbal or electronic communications, sketches, marked drawings, field notes, vendor catalogs, technical reference manuals and engineering design files.
- Assist in providing primary software maintenance including updates, patches and database model changes.
- Work with other organizations of the company to resolve discrepancies to assure that data reflects accurate field conditions and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Partner with technical staff to understand problems with software and provide input into problem resolution.
- Integrate, coordinate and support the geographic, cartographic, remote sensing and global positioning system concepts and principles in resource data management and display those using Windows‑based systems, computers, GPS and cartographic data translation software.
- Develop, manipulate and edit vector and raster data sets through a variety of means.
- Exercise expertise with GPS methods for collection of data.
Telecommunication GIS Analyst SG5
- Associate degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field from an accredited college or university, OR High School Diploma/GED and two years of related experience.
- Valid state driver's license.
- GE Small world experience highly preferred.
- Understanding of database development concepts.
- Understanding of analysis of geospatial data.
- Experience with handling KMZ or KML files or working knowledge of open‑source GIS solutions.
- Basic understanding of Python, SQL, or other scripting language and web application configuration.
- Some travel required.
- Ability to work or travel outside of normal business hours.
This role is on site in Gahanna, Ohio;
Tulsa, Oklahoma; or Corpus Christi, Texas.

Physical Demand LevelS – Sedentary.
