Schedule:
M‑Th 4X9 & M‑F 4X9+8
- The Stress Analyst is responsible for structural analysis of aircraft modifications, including design support and preparation of technical documentation necessary to ensure airworthiness.
- Determine stress levels in primary and secondary aircraft structure, systems, and equipment resulting from applied and induced loads, and compare these stresses with material properties to predict failure and structural instabilities, given applicable failure theories.

- Calculate and assess stress levels caused by applied and induced loads.
- Compare stress results with material properties to identify possible failure risks.
- Apply structural analysis methods and failure theories in engineering evaluations.
- Review aircraft systems, equipment installations, and modification impacts.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional engineering and certification teams.
- Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation for regulatory approval.
- Bachelors Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
- 4+ years of experience in aircraft stress analysis
- Masters Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- Experience analyzing composite structure
- Experience in Mat Lab
- Experience with FAA and Military certification requirements
- Familiarity with FAA (Part 23 or 25) or military aircraft airworthiness design approach, certification process, and requirements
- Good computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to generate free body diagrams and calculate internal loads and stresses
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Finite element modeling with commercial software, Siemens FEMAP or PATRAN / NASTRAN
- Automating calculations using VBA in Excel or another programming language
- Reviewing engineering design data with CAD and PLM software, including NX and Teamcenter
- Structural substantiation of aircraft structure with classical analysis
- Results‑oriented, empowering leader with direct experience excelling in a matrixed environment
- Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
- Requires the ability to obtain an Active Secret Clearance
