Perform engineering services, which may include:
- Building and maintaining capacity and reliability models in Synergi Gas hydraulic modeling software
- Collaborating with Commercial, Engineering, Capital Execution, and Operations to develop long term plans
- Identifying scenarios and solutions for extreme weather and environmental conditions, including their impact on pipeline system performance.
- Developing scenarios for system capacity, demand, & reliability analysis for asset capacity planning
- Validating asset information, strategy, and policy recommendations from respective asset management, integrity management, operations, and engineering groups to ensure asset risk mitigation plans are effective
Coordinate and Perform a basic level of engineering activities.
Coordinate, assist, and perform engineering activities relative to the design, operation, and maintenance of company pipeline and storage systems and related facilities.
Help with project coordination among area regions, departments (Commercial, Operating, and Customer Services), and contractors including:
- Bid proposals and contracts
- Line extensions
- Construction and relocation projects
Provide technical and engineering assistance to management, employees, governmental/regulatory personnel, contractors, customers, and
others on matters including:
- Meter and regulator settings
- Database analyses
- Growth planning
- Emergency valve isolation plans for pipeline systems
- Policies and procedures
Review, summarize, and prepare:
- Construction contracts
- Status/activity reports
- Job orders
- Purchase requisitions
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may perform additional tasks as assigned.
What You Will NeedMinimum Bachelor's Degree engineering
Working knowledge of piping plan standards and related governmental regulations.
Demonstrated ability with application of math, algebraic formulas, calculus, and statistics.
Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and software such as AutoCAD, Stoner, Excel, Access, and other relevant software.
Experience and training related to:
- Customer services field policies and procedures
- Transmission/distribution pipeline operations
- Company/governmental operating and safety procedures
- Line extension and relocation policies and procedures
Demonstrated ability to identify, research, evaluate, and prioritize problems or specific situations and coordinate appropriate action/response.
Demonstrated ability to research and prepare pipeline construction contracts, pipeline capacity lease (PCL) requests, budget projects, job orders, material requisitions, engineering studies, and correspondence.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, charts, surveys, load studies, and multiple reports and correspondence.
Demonstrated ability to interact, negotiate, advise, and communicate effectively.
Demonstrated ability to develop information and make presentations to groups and individuals.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Preferred Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
Minimum Applicable driver's license.
Mobility to travel in and around plant and office facilities and around job sites out of doors.
Able to operate tools and equipment required.
Communicate and exchange information; conduct oral presentations.
Visual abilities to perform job responsibilities.
