** Job Summary
** This position is for the role of a Modeling Engineer in the Ratings & Configuration (R&C) team within the Transmission System Operations Engineering (TSOE) organization. The role entails supporting the activities necessary to ensure compliance with applicable NERC and industry standards related to configuration changes to the transmission grid. Expected activities include but are not limited to:  
• Accurately model transmission system topology including impedance and facility ratings for lines, stations, and transformers for medium, high, and extra-high voltages using AEP-internal modeling databases.

• Fulfill various system modeling related requests from Engineering and Operations personnel and submitted via Service Now ticketing system.

• Collaborate with others internal/external to the team to model planned projects, representing the future transmission system, as needed.

• Perform activities related to NERC Compliance standards.
