Position SummaryWe are expanding our Construction Design Team! We are actively looking for an experienced Mechanical Virtual Design Manager for commercial/industrial mechanical construction projects. We're seeking candidates that have experience with large mechanical and plumbing design applications. Ideal candidates will be responsible for planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects using design technology.
Responsibilities- Create and edit construction drawings using various design software
- Coordinate project timelines
- Manage time and multiple projects in a fast paced deadline environment
- Generate mechanical pipe models using the designated project specifications, design drawings and models, control diagrams, submittals, RFIs, and modeling software
- Collaborate with the build and design team to eliminate construction errors due to design flaws
- Work with trades, project management, site superintendents, and shop personnel to identify problems and help make informed decisions
- Ensure model structure, file organization, version control, and system modeling remain consistent and compliant throughout the project lifecycle
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in BIM/VDC, mechanical detailing, or MEP coordination
- Strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and construction specifications
- Ability to work within a collaborative team environment
- Experience with AutoCAD software
Commercial/Industrial construction project experience
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer-Aided field or relevant experience
