Position: EHS Specialist II          at ONE Gas        in        Tulsa,        Oklahoma

Environmental Health and Safety Manager

The primary location of the role will be Tulsa, but it will cover the Oklahoma Natural Gas East Region outlying areas. This posting will close on the morning of July 24th. What You Will Do

Plans and administers environmental health and safety programs for designated region. Administer the implementation of environmental health and safety programs. Compile, analyze data, and present findings to leadership regarding EHS metrics, measures, and statistics. Develop, lead, conduct, and present EHS related content and training. This includes safety meetings, incident reviews, regulatory training, and other topics that EHS may, maintain, and make suggested procedure changes to ensure compliance with various regulatory bodies and ONE Gas programs and regulations related to environmental health and safety.

Provide information, consultation, and/or advice to area management to ensure employee understanding of health and safety programs and initiatives. Conduct initial assessment of Industrial Hygiene concerns. Lead sampling plans and have a thorough understanding of the results and Industrial Hygiene monitoring reports. Ensure incidents are investigated, including employee accidents, contractor incidents, property damage, environmental releases, compliance deviations and near misses, and complete appropriate reports.

Assist in the development, review, and conduct applicable regulatory training, including new employee training (as specified by position). Analyze and interpret data from accident and loss event reports to identify causes, trends and relationships. Ensure corrective actions from audits, incident investigations, etc. are tracked to completion. Develop engineering and administrative controls to eliminate hazards and causes of exposures, accidents, and loss events and to reduce the probability or severity of injuries and illnesses.

Establish and implement techniques for periodic and systematic evaluation (i.e., auditing) of hazard control and hazard control program effectiveness. Respond to adverse field events as directed by EHS leadership. Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job. Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

What You Will Need

Preferred Bachelor's Degree Safety, environmental technology or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job-related experience:
Experience in field knowledge of natural gas. Thorough knowledge of EHS governing bodies reporting processes and standards including but not limited to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Demonstrate fluent understanding of Hazard Communication. Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including the use of smart phones and accessing computers and applicable software including:
Microsoft Office products Avatar Safety Stratus The ability to read and interpret manuals, reports, governmental regulations, directives, journals, policies, procedures, and correspondence. Compose, compile, and prepare ESH reporting and correspondence. Making presentations and conduct meetings. Read and write fluently in English. Minimum Applicable driver's license Preferred Board of Certified Safety Management Specialist (SMS), Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP), Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician (OHST), and/or Board of Certified Safety Professional (BCSP).

Ability to respond to health and safety emergencies outside of normal business hours. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Communicate and/or exchange information verbally. Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
