Job Level: Senior Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of an engineering project from start to finish to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
- Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan; monitor progress and performance; take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
- Identify, develop, and gather resources required for the project, including engineering designs, work specifications, schedules, materials, and equipment.
- Coordinate with other operational areas (e.g., operations, other engineering disciplines, drafting) to secure specialized resources and contributions.
- Lead meetings and prepare reports to communicate project status.
- Provide after-hours/weekend support when needed; travel domestically and internationally as required for projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university.
- Experience with numerical computing and data simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, SKM, SCADA, or similar).
- Ability to create and read logic and flow diagrams, schematics, programming, simulation, testing, and startup for system/program design.
- Experience in power systems, energy management, energy storage, microgrids, and ESG considerations is desired.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines and operating groups; excellent professional and interpersonal skills.
- PLC programming and/or higher-level programming (C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.) required.
- Strong problem-solving skills to analyze field issues and support services in identifying causes and solutions for software/hardware problems.
- Self-motivated with the ability to set and achieve goals; strong documentation and organizational skills; excellent oral and written communication.
- Not required but a plus: 5+ years in oil & gas, automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, or related fields for senior level roles; hands-on field experience with power and control systems; configuration and programming experience with VFDs.
