DRAFTER In this position, you will provide mechanical design services for a variety of clients. Clients will include midstream oil and gas, industrial and commercial. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and construction personnel. Create 2-D CAD drawings, including from a completed 3-D model.
In this role you will…- Assist the Lead / Sr. Piping Designer in providing the drafting support for a variety of clients. Work directly with the lead piping designer as well as engineers during the development of the drawing packages.
- Assist in the development of the design and construction documents, including PFD's, P&'s, plans and sections, piping drawings, details, isometrics, and bill of materials using AutoCAD 2024 & CADWorx 2023.
- Could be asked to assist in addressing questions and issues during construction.
- Annotate piping plans, elevations and isometric drawings per industry standards.
- Revise existing drawings per updated model and project scope.
- Ensure accuracy and adherence to industry standards are followed.
- Previous piping design/drafting experience is required (1-3 years).
- Past experience including diverse experience and a variety of project types is a plus
- The ability to plan, organize and communicate with team members and client representatives.
- The ability to work extended hours as needed to meet critical deadlines.
- Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD version 2024 and CADWorx
2023 and Navisworx 3D piping software. - Proficiency with MS Office Suite and MS SharePoint.
- Experience with Plant 3D and Autodesk Revit software is a plus.
- Engaging in multiple projects simultaneously.
- Continually interacting with the other team members throughout the duration of the project.
- Visiting the project site as needed to gather data.
- Participating in the analysis, deployment, implementation and maintenance of technical policies and procedures.
- Continuously increasing knowledge and exhibiting ability to learn and apply new skills.
- Making timely decisions using sound and accurate judgment while keeping appropriate people informed in the decision process.
- Identifying problems, gathering and analyzing information skillfully. Consulting with entities associated and affected by issue.
- Organizing and prioritizing work activities while utilizing efficient time management skills in meeting deadlines or staying on schedule with projects.
- Communicating effectively and professionally both verbally and in written correspondence.
- Meeting established goals while demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness to ensure quality of work.
- Operate a computer, telephone and other commonly used business-related items.
- Put in extended hours to meet critical deadlines and handle rapidly changing priorities to accomplish project goals.
- Attend and participate in meetings.
- Travel (approximately 10%) as needed to support projects.
