Cyntergy is seeking a Refrigeration Design Engineer to design efficient, code-compliant refrigeration systems for commercial and institutional facilities. You will develop calculations, equipment selections, and construction documents in Revit/AutoCAD, coordinate closely with architecture, structural, and MEP teams, and support construction administration. You'll apply ASHRAE and IMC requirements, focus on energy efficiency and reliability, and collaborate in a people-first culture that emphasizes mentorship, licensure support, and long-term career growth on diverse, high-impact projects.
Responsibilities
- Design commercial and institutional refrigeration systems from concept through construction documents.
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system layouts using Revit/Auto
- CAD.
- Apply relevant building codes and standards, including ASHRAE and IMC, to all designs.
- Coordinate closely with architecture, structural, and MEP disciplines for fully integrated solutions.
- Prepare specifications, schedules, and details to support bid and construction packages.
- Support construction administration with RFIs, submittal reviews, and site observations.
- Incorporate energy efficiency, reliability, and maintainability into system designs.
- Collaborate in a team-focused culture, sharing knowledge and mentoring junior staff.
- Engage in professional development, including licensure and continuing education activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards, tools, and workflows.
