Refrigeration Design Technician

Cyntergy is seeking a Refrigeration Design Technician to support integrated architecture and engineering teams on commercial, retail, and institutional projects. In this role, you will develop layouts, details, and calculations for refrigeration and HVAC systems, produce accurate construction documents in AutoCAD/Revit, and coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and architectural disciplines. You will assist with equipment selection, piping design, and code compliance while collaborating closely with senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and document commercial refrigeration and related HVAC systems for construction projects.
• Produce accurate drawings, details, and schedules using Auto
• CAD and Revit.
• Perform basic load calculations and assist with sizing of piping, equipment, and components.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams.
• Apply relevant building codes, standards, and client specifications to system designs.
• Prepare and update construction documents throughout project phases.
• Assist senior engineers with technical analyses, reviews, and quality control.
• Support field questions and RFIs during construction as needed.
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary, people-first environment focused on continuous improvement.
• Participate in professional development, training, and process improvement initiatives.
