Job Description

The Scheduler develops, maintains, and analyzes detailed project schedules to support complex engineering and construction initiatives. This role creates cost-loaded, resource-loaded, and logic-driven schedules, ensures accurate schedule and cost data throughout the project lifecycle, and delivers clear status reporting to project teams. The Scheduler also plays a key role in mentoring and training less experienced schedulers, contributing to the continuous improvement of project control standards and practices.

Responsibilities

+ Develop, maintain, and analyze comprehensive project schedules for assigned projects, ensuring they are cost-loaded, resource-loaded, and logic-driven.

+ Manage all project schedule and cost-related updates throughout the lifecycle of each project to keep information current and accurate.

+ Interface regularly with engineering, construction, planning, project management, and other transmission partners to verify schedule, resource, and cost information.

+ Lead project schedule baseline review meetings with team members to confirm assumptions, dependencies, and resource allocations.

+ Analyze project progress and provide recommendations on forecasted costs based on schedule performance and trends.

+ Maintain estimated project costs within the designated scheduling and project controls systems.

+ Perform final project assessments to ensure compliance with established project control group standards.

+ Assist in developing metrics and measures for the transmission engineering and project services (TE&PS) project portfolio.

+ Participate in the development and refinement of project control standards, guidelines, and best practices.

+ Ensure planning, engineering, construction, and project management teams are following established project lifecycle management processes (PLMP).

+ Mentor and train less experienced schedulers to build team capability and consistency in scheduling practices.

Essential Skills

+ Eight years of experience in scheduling or project controls within a construction environment.

+ Eight years of experience interfacing with engineering, construction, planning, and project management teams on project delivery.

+ Strong proficiency in scheduling tools and project controls systems used for cost-loaded and resource-loaded schedules.

+ Demonstrated ability to analyze project progress and develop accurate cost forecasts.

+ Proven experience leading schedule baseline review meetings and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.

+ Ability to perform final project assessments and ensure compliance with established standards and guidelines.

+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret schedule data, cost information, and performance metrics.

+ Effective communication skills to present schedule status, issues, and recommendations to project teams.

+ Ability to mentor and train less experienced schedulers, sharing best practices and standard methodologies.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Associate or Bachelor's Degree (ABET) in Construction Management, Engineering, Accounting, or Business.

+ Experience contributing to the development of project control standards and guidelines.

+ Background in developing metrics and measures for project portfolios, particularly in engineering or transmission-related projects.

+ Familiarity with project lifecycle management processes and adherence to standardized procedures.

+ Experience working in an engineering-focused environment with multi-disciplinary project teams.

Work Environment

This role operates in a quiet engineering office environment that supports focused, analytical work. The dress code is business casual. Teamwork is highly encouraged and occurs frequently, with regular collaboration among engineering, construction, planning, and project management teams. The position involves working with scheduling and project control technologies and systems to manage cost and resource data, and requires comfort in a structured, process-driven setting where established standards and guidelines are followed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Tulsa, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $35.10/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
