Job Description
The primary responsibility of a Wholesaler Support Representative is to support internal and external wholesalers with inquiries concerning newly submitted business, as well as discuss and explain existing annuity business across all distribution channels and products. Wholesaler Services also provides pro‑active and follow‑up outbound calls with wholesalers and/or advisors. An associate in this position is expected to utilize various resources to assess a situation and determine an appropriate course of action.
PrincipalResponsibilities
- Answers incoming phone calls regarding annuity products from Wholesalers and advisors. Discuss all aspects of the annuity business by answering questions pertaining to multiple markets and product lines.
- Demonstrates consistent proactive communication with internal and external customers and partners.
- Stays current on procedures, corporate initiatives, annuity markets and products to provide accurate and timely information.
- Responds promptly and calmly to changing events and new situations.
- Maintains and builds a rapport and working relationship with Wholesalers.
- Cross‑trains across franchises in New Business, Existing Business, and Death Claims in order to load balance inbound calls.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Series 6 designation preferred
- 3 or more years of customer service experience
- Superior customer service and communication skills
- Demonstrates problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under the pressure of working against strict quality and performance guidelines
