Waterstone Mortgage’s Oklahoma Mortgage Group (OMG) is looking for a tech-savvy, self-directed Loan Partner to support a busy team of Loan Officers. This role is ideal for someone with prior mortgage experience, whether as a Loan Partner, Loan Officer, or in a similar capacity, who understands loan guidelines and knows how to keep files moving without being chased. You’ll manage the pipeline, prep loans for processing, communicate confidently with clients and referral partners, and use technology to stay organized and efficient.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for taking applications over the phone or in-person
  • If online application is submitted, call client to go over the application and ensure it is filled out completely and with accuracy.
  • Assist Loan Originator in gathering all necessary forms and paperwork.
  • As part of the sales team, this individual is responsible for requesting/obtaining referrals from all WMC clients, current and potential along with sales partners.
  • Ensure the CRM is updated with notes and tasks for each client.
  • Daily prospect/prequal meetings with Loan Originators and addresses and coordinates any additional follow-up items.
  • Track all requested documents in Encompass.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and other related parties on transactions as needed.
  • Attend all Branch/team meetings.
  • Pull credit and other documents as they pertain to lead generation.
  • Lead tracking and follow up with leads, prospects and prequal clients while they are home shopping
  • Schedule appointment with clients to go over their submitted application
  • If clients need it, put them on a credit improvement plan to improve their credit to get prequalified or get better loan terms.
  • Run or check that the Automated Underwriting with updated Encompass file has been run and read what the required documentation will be that is needed. Make sure that Automated Underwriting results match
  • Calculating income
  • Cross training ability to learn other positions to help the Branch when vacations and illness occur.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Complete any additional duties assigned by management
  • Complete regulatory and compliance training, as required
  • Assist WMC employees and departments as needed

EDUCATION and/or

EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Previous experience and knowledge of real estate compliance guidelines and the ability to implement them is preferred.

COMPUTER

SKILLS:

Proficient knowledge of related computer applications such as Microsoft Office is required. Experience on Encompass LOS system or other mortgage processing software is required, DU, LP and other automated engine submissions experience is preferred.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

SKILLS:

Using excellent customer service skills which includes maintaining a good attitude, taking ownership of meeting customer needs, going above and beyond for customers, demonstrating a commitment to sharpening skills through education and training, using positive communication, and looking for opportunities to respect customers’ time and schedules is required.

REASONING ABILITY
:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists is required. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form is required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: A federal registration through Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) is required. However, individuals in this position are not eligible to receive loan officer commission.

Qualifications Education Required

High School or better.
