The Director of Finance is responsible for leading and overseeing all accounting, finance, accounts payable, and tax functions of the Group within its retail supermarket operations. In addition, this position serves as the operational CFO of a small and growing company, directly leading the accounting and finance functions while combining strategic planning with hands-on daily execution. The role ensures financial control, accounting discipline, and clear financial visibility to support decision-making by the CEO and the Board of Directors.

- Leadership and Development of Finance Staff
- End-to-end leadership of the accounting and finance function as operational CFO
- Financial discipline and expense control across the organization
- Lead all finance, accounting, accounts payable, and tax functions across multiple legal entities.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage multi-entity consolidation, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal and Oklahoma state tax regulations, including income, sales/use, and payroll taxes.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and variance analysis.
- Analyze store-level performance including margins, COGS, inventory turnover, shrink, and profitability.
- Prepare and present executive-level financial reports and dashboards to senior leadership and the Board.
- Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and lead audit processes.
- Manage treasury operations, liquidity planning, and banking relationships.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team while promoting financial discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred).
- Active CPA license – required.
- 8–12 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- 3–5 years in a senior leadership role (Controller, Senior Manager, or similar).
- Retail supermarket or grocery industry experience – required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, federal tax regulations, and Oklahoma state tax requirements.
- Proven experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidation.
- Advanced proficiency in Oracle Net Suite, Quick Books, and Microsoft Excel.
