Private Equity Associate

Our client is a well-established private investment firm with $4B+ in assets under management pursuing a diversified strategy that includes fund investments (primaries, secondaries, and co-investments) as well as direct private equity investments. The firm is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its growing investment team. This role offers broad exposure across manager selection and direct deal execution within a collaborative, institutional platform.

• Evaluate primary fund commitments, secondary transactions, and co-investment opportunities
• Support underwriting and execution of direct private equity investments
• Build detailed financial models and perform valuation analyses
• Assist in structuring and negotiating transactions
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative diligence on private equity sponsors and funds
• Analyze historical performance, portfolio construction, and investment strategy
• Participate in GP meetings, calls, and on-site visits
• Track performance of fund and direct investments
• Assist with valuation updates and liquidity forecasting
• Prepare investment committee memoranda and portfolio reports

• Perform industry and thematic research
• Screen inbound opportunities and support deal sourcing initiatives

• 3–5 years of relevant experience
• Required: Prior principal investing experience (private equity, growth equity, private credit, or similar buy-side investing role)
• Experience with fund investments, secondaries, or co-investments strongly preferred
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skillset
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
