The NQM Trading Analyst is primarily responsible for assisting with oversight and processing of NQM portfolio trading. This role will also offer support to the NQM team by administering trades, monitoring exposure, and reporting production.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with the execution and documentation of loan sales; prepares, organizes, and communicates biweekly trades with sellers, investors, and internal Bank teams, reconciles investor pricing, confirms pricing with sellers, and sends documentation for execution.
  • Uses analytical models and data pertaining to the selling of loans; including but not limited to calculations on accrued interest, escrow funds, amortizing loans, and calculating proceeds.
  • Updates models and data templates to promote automation and operational efficiency.
  • Manages seller and investor pipeline data.
  • Assist in monitoring competitive position.
  • May assist with the execution and documentation of loan purchases; calculates proceeds, approves fundings, and creates and communicates trades.
  • Serves as secondary point of contact for existing clients, sellers, and investors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field, required.
  • Experience with data management, process automation, and reporting, preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Experience with asset pricing or trading, and/or secondary mortgage, a plus.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, macros (VBA), scripts (Power Shell), task automation (Task Scheduler), and/or BI tools, a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis, data interpretation, and statistical modeling.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to convey complex market information to stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
