Plant Assistant Controller

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

Permanent on-site position.

The Plant Assistant Controller is responsible for accuracy and integrity of all financial information concerning plant activity. This is accomplished through active management of financial policy and internal controls for the assigned plant. Additional responsibilities include overseeing financial functions such as cash, accounts receivable, inventory, capital assets, accounts payable, inter-company transactions and related accruals and receivables; reviewing monthly reconciliation binder; ensuring compliance with corporate reporting requirements;

creating accurate weekly forecasts; reviewing journal entries; implementing internal controls; providing continuous improvement ideas; preparing annual budget; working with departmental heads on cost‑saving initiatives; reviewing accounts receivable aging; assisting local annual external audit; and providing information to internal audit.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in a decentralized manufacturing environment with Manufacturing Ops Accounting/Finance; automotive experience preferred.
• Proven leadership and problem‑solving skills.
• Independent critical thinker with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time‑management skills with ability to multi‑task.
• Experience working in an AS400 environment (CMS or Solarsoft experience preferred).
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and Word.

• Demonstrates focus and drive to achieve targets, budgets, and results.
• Desire to understand business, provide accurate and timely information to the Controller, and initiate cost‑saving projects.
• Ability to learn about business and understand production processes by walking through production floor.
• Educates and trains departmental staff and holds them accountable.

• Active approach with a willingness to get personally involved to increase pace and efficiency and achieve departmental, plant, and company goals.
