Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking an Operations Finance Director to serve as the enterprise owner of operations finance performance across all manufacturing sites. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role oversees consolidated cost, margin, productivity, inventory, and working‑capital outcomes. The Operations Finance Director leads the Plant Controller organization, governs enterprise planning frameworks, and provides CFO‑ready insights that connect plant‑level execution to enterprise financial commitments.
This is the highest‑scope operational finance role in the company.

15+ years of progressive experience in operations finance, manufacturing finance, FP&A, or enterprise business partnering
Demonstrated experience leading multi‑site or enterprise‑level operations finance organizations
Proven leadership of other finance leaders (e.g., Plant Controllers, BU finance leads)
Deep expertise in manufacturing and supply chain financial drivers (conversion cost, overhead, labor efficiency, material usage, inventory, working capital)
Strong ability to connect granular operational detail to enterprise‑level financial outcomes
Experience owning enterprise planning frameworks, forecasting methodologies, and performance governance
Executive‑level communication and presence; ability to influence senior leaders across operations, supply chain, engineering, and corporate finance
Proven track record influencing complex operational, financial, and capital allocation decisions
Advanced financial modeling and scenario analysis skills for strategic trade‑offs and capital decisions
Strong systems orientation, including ERP environments (SAP preferred) and digital analytics tools
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA strongly preferred
CPA, CMA, or similar certification strongly preferred
Ability to operate in complex, matrixed environments with competing priorities

Experience leading cost‑transformation or productivity programs across multiple sites
Experience supporting CFO‑level initiatives (earnings prep, investor‑grade analytics)
