Fintech bank currently looking to bring on a new “Deputy Head of Financial Crimes Technology” to join their group. This is a 100% remote role.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor a team of financial crimes technology professionals, offering strategic guidance, support, and opportunities for professional development.
• Define and implement a long-term strategy for financial crimes technology initiatives that align with organizational objectives and regulatory compliance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Compliance, Risk, IT, and Legal—to ensure technology solutions support broader business goals.
• Supervise the end-to-end lifecycle of financial crimes prevention technologies, including the design, development, and deployment of AML systems, fraud detection platforms, and transaction monitoring tools.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and industry developments to recommend forward-thinking solutions that strengthen financial crimes capabilities.
• Direct the planning and execution of financial crimes technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Optimize resource allocation and manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communication for key projects.
• Ensure all financial crimes technology systems adhere to relevant regulatory standards and internal compliance policies.
• Prepare and deliver regular performance reports, providing data-driven insights, trends analysis, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with financial crimes technology and related operations.
