POSITION PURPOSE

Primary role is to grow and retain profitable relationships by delivering value-added solutions to clients and prospects that help them reach their goals and maximize our revenues. You will be an experienced relationship manager capable of independent activity, with proven client relationship skills, extensive product knowledge, technical expertise, and strong transaction execution skills. Credit process management is a critical component of your job.

Performance is measured by effectiveness in calling activity, proposal generation, revenue generation, risk mitigation, relationship building, and franchise development. Seek opportunities to cross‑sell into every relationship and anticipate client future needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  • Solicit commercial clients and aggressively pursue new business through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross‑selling.
  • Obtain and maintain certificates of insurance and attend networking events in the assigned geographic area.
  • Provide loan structuring and credit analysis skills.
  • Generate a wide variety of commercial and real‑estate loans.
  • Close loans typically in the $1 million to $10 million range.
  • Contribute to deposit growth by cross‑selling and promoting additional banking products.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or another related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Formally credit trained and/or underwriting knowledge and experience is preferred.

Typically, a minimum of 4 years direct lending or credit support experience with a focus on business relationships.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

Familiarity with the sales, loan processing, and closing processes.

Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services, including working knowledge of C&I as well as Owner‑Occupied and Investment Commercial Real Estate loans.

SKILLS/ABILITIES

Ability to expand loans, build client relationships, and cross‑sell bank products.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record of business development.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

Talking: Often required to convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately and clearly.

Average Hearing: Able to hear normal conversations.

Repetitive Motion: Frequent use of wrists, hands, and fingers.

Average Visual Abilities: Adequate vision to prepare or inspect documents.

Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs of force occasionally.

WORKING CONDITIONS

No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (typical office environment).

MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

Reasoning Ability: Apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.

Mathematics Ability: Compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; ratio and proportion; perform simple algebra.

Language Ability: Read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias.

Prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports in prescribed format, conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.

Conduct training, present at panel discussions, and deliver professional presentations.

Hours:

Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
