Position Summary
The IT Project Financial Analyst II is responsible for managing the financial health of a portfolio of IT projects, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and reporting. This role partners closely with Project Managers, PMO leadership, and Finance to provide accurate financial insights, support funding decisions, and ensure projects remain aligned with financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, estimate-at-completion (EAC) projections, and spend plans for assigned IT projects.
- Track actual costs versus budget, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support Project Change Requests (PCRs) by assessing financial impacts, risks, and funding requirements.
- Partner with Finance on capitalization, expense classification, accruals, funding requests, and month-end close activities.
- Monitor project financial risks, trends, and performance metrics, escalating concerns and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of project financial data throughout the project lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in project financial analysis, FP&A, cost analysis, project controls, or related financial roles.
- Experience managing project budgets and forecasts across multiple initiatives.
- Knowledge of project accounting principles, including capital vs. expense and EAC forecasting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, and Oracle or similar ERP systems.
- Familiarity with Project Life Cycle methodologies and PMO governance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
- Experience utilizing AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot for reporting and analysis.

This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, OK.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $44.00 - $53.00/hr.
