Description
Industry leading manufacturer in the Tulsa, OK area is seeking a Vice President of FP&A who will serve as a strategic co-pilot to the CFO, Chief Executive Officer, and executive leadership team, overseeing corporate financial strategy, long-range planning, capital allocation, operational finance, and performance analytics across a $1B+ domestic manufacturing footprint. The ideal candidate brings large-scale experience navigating the complexities of domestic multi-plant operations, supply chain dynamics, standard cost accounting, and major capital investments.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & CFO Succession Readiness:
Lead the annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range strategic financial models across all U.S. manufacturing locations; serve as a core advisor on domestic M&A, capital allocation, pricing strategies, and regional expansions; present frequently to the Board of Directors and executive committee to build full enterprise visibility. - Operational Finance & Plant Performance:
Partner with Supply Chain and Operations leadership to optimize multi-site profitability, standard costing variance analysis, scrap reduction, and yield; establish ROI/IRR models for major capital investments, plant expansions, equipment automation, and footprint optimization; analyze direct labor, domestic freight, raw materials, and overhead absorption to expand margins. - Systems Transformation & Data Analytics:
Drive digital transformation across FP&A by modernizing Enterprise Performance Management platforms (e.g., One Stream, Anaplan, Hyperion, SAP BI); deploy automated, real-time dashboards to track plant KPIs (OEE, working capital, inventory turns, direct/indirect spend); standardize financial reporting methodologies across legacy and acquired domestic operations. - Team Development & Leadership:
Build, mentor, and elevate a high-performing team of Directors, Managers, and Analysts spanning Corporate FP&A and Operations Finance; foster a culture of proactive business partnership, continuous improvement, and deep operational analysis.
- Experience & Scale: 12+ to 15+ years of progressive financial leadership, including at least 5+ years in a VP or senior Director role within a $1B+ domestic manufacturing environment supporting multi-site operational networks.
- Education & Credentials:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; MBA and/or CPA/CMA highly preferred. - Technical Mastery:
Deep expertise in manufacturing cost accounting (absorption, standard vs. actual, BOMs), dynamic financial modeling (M&A, capacity planning, capital structure), and enterprise systems (ERP: SAP/Oracle; EPM: Anaplan/One Stream/Workday Adaptive). - Leadership & Executive Trajectory:
Demonstrated capacity and ambition to step into a CFO role; exceptional executive presence with the ability to translate complex shop-floor and operational data into clear strategic direction for the C-suite and Board. - Location:
Based in or willing to relocate full-time to the Greater Tulsa, OK area.
