Senior Commercial Lender

The Sr. Commercial Lender is responsible for proactively soliciting and servicing prospective customers and producing commercial loans that fit with the Regent Bank Loan portfolio. Additionally, this position will generate and manage a portfolio of business and relationships while seeking new accounts through marketing and referrals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develops and services larger and more complex customer relationships, including promoting referrals to all areas of the Regent Bank
• Promotes the development and service of the commercial loan portfolios and is expected to meet and exceed loan and deposit goals
• Monitors loan portfolio to maintain a high-quality asset base and supports up-to-date client files.
• Works closely with credit administration in risk rating analysis, risk rating measurements, and annual review process
• Maintain compliance with loan policy, procedures, and documentation, including package preparation, while properly structuring, underwriting, and pricing
• Monitor collateral and credit exceptions and past dues
• Other duties as assigned

Education And/Or

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required in business administration or a related field.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in credit analysis or commercial lending
• Experience managing complex customer relationships

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
• Expertise in commercial and real estate underwriting practices, along with knowledge of regulatory governance of commercial lending
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills required
• Detail-oriented and able to work under pressure of deadlines.
• All candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment background, credit, and drug screening

Physical Requirements:

• Must exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Sitting for long periods.

Working Conditions:

The working conditions are generally comfortable, with minimal exposure to noise, heat, dust, and other related items. All employees are required to maintain a neat and safe work area.
