Energy One Federal Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented and member-focused Consumer Loan Underwriter to join our lending team. In this role, you will evaluate consumer loan applications, analyze creditworthiness, and make sound lending decisions while providing exceptional service to our members.

Duties Include:- Review and analyze consumer loan applications for approval or denial.
- Evaluate credit reports, credit scores, income documentation, collateral, debt-to-income ratios, and other financial information.
- Assess lending risk and determine members' ability to repay loans.
- Make lending decisions within established authority limits and refer exceptions as appropriate.
- Ensure all lending decisions comply with credit union policies and federal and state regulations.
- Process payment deferrals, due date changes, and collateral releases within policy guidelines.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional loan, deposit, and financial products that benefit members.
- Stay informed regarding consumer lending trends, products, and regulatory changes.
- Assist members and internal staff with loan-related questions and lending solutions.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and other department initiatives.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 to 5 years of consumer lending, loan underwriting, loan processing, banking, or credit union experience.
- Strong understanding of credit reports, consumer lending principles, and risk evaluation.
- Ability to analyze financial information and make sound lending decisions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with loan origination systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of indirect, auto, personal, recreational vehicle, or unsecured lending.
- Familiarity with consumer lending regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with loan exception analysis and tiered lending programs.

- Schedule &
Work Hours: - Monday through Friday, with a rotating Saturday schedule
