The Technical Applications Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of a team of Field Technical Applications Specialists to ensure that customer needs and expectations are met in a timely manner. The role will oversee the installation of all instruments, training of operators in the use of Beckman Coulter diagnostic equipment and providing ongoing support to customers. The Supervisor ensures the department’s regulatory requirements, policies, and procedures are adhered to, certifying all Technical Application Specialists activities comply with established Standard of Work.

This position reports to the Central Area Applications Manager and is part of the Central Area Applications Team located in the Central United States. It will be working remotely to cover the East South Central and West South Central area with up to 50 % travel.

This position requires up to 50 % traveling by flight and/or driving, which includes overnight stays. Travel will primarily be within the territory and at times outside the East South Central and West South Central area. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

• Lead and develop a team of Applications Associates while demonstrating teamwork with other Technical Applications Supervisors and Managers.
• Align with the top‑level goals and objectives of Beckman Coulter and perform daily management to successfully achieve our goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Science plus 5+ years of field diagnostics experience OR Master’s degree with 3+ years of field diagnostic experience.
• Previous Diagnostic Laboratory experience in at least one area (Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Hematology, Clinical Urinalysis or Clinical Immunoassay).
• Demonstrated experience in team projects as a primary participant, lead of a team project or individual project that made a positive impact to the organization or department.

• This position requires up to 50 % flying and/or driving travel, which includes overnight stays.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise and/or place up to 50 lb unassisted. Ability to stand, walk, sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms.

• 2+ years of experience of people management/leadership.
• Experience in software tools such as Smartsheet, Miro, and Excel.
• MBA degree a plus.
