About The Position TCBH is hiring for a Mental Health Technician III, II, I, that would provide non-professional direct care for consumers of behavioral health treatment in an inpatient setting. This includes participation in de-escalation activities and assuring that consumers are kept safe, assist with activities of daily living, taking vitals, observing and recording patient behavior and activities, establish a therapeutic relationship with consumers, monitor and assist consumers within the facility to assure safety, and perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type/Salary
- Open/Close dates: 2/20/2026 – until filled
- Full-time
- Hourly payrate: (Level III)-$17.59 (level II)-16.28 (Level I)-$15.10
- $1.00/hr differential for working in a direct care setting; $0.50/hr shift differentials when working evening or nights and $0.75/hr weekends and holidays
- Primary hours: 3:00pm-11:00pm

Minimum Qualifications And Experience
- Level III-Two years of experience in providing patient care.
- Level II-One year of experience in providing patient care.
- Level I
- No experience or education is required.
Special Requirements
- Applicant must be able to pass an OSBI background check.
- Applicant must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
- Upon a conditional offer of employment, Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services applicants must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.

About us Tulsa Center for Behavioral Health (TCBH) is a psychiatric hospital accredited by The Joint Commission, dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care. TCBH provides a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment that supports recovery and enhances quality of life for individuals and the community. The facility serves adults aged 18 and older who are experiencing a mental health crisis, with or without co-occurring substance use disorders, and who are medically stable.
In response to the increasing need for mental health services in our community, TCBH is being replaced by a new facility, the Oklahoma Psychiatric Care Center (OPCC). Situated in the OSU Academic medical District in downtown Tulsa.
