Job DescriptionIndividuals in this classification are accountable for activities of daily living for patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The Nurse Aide must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care for patients on the assigned unit. The role involves functioning in an assistive capacity to licensed nursing staff in providing technical and environmental patient care, as delegated by the licensed staff.
The Nurse Aide will be responsible for activities of daily living, elimination, infection control, body mechanics, safety, and emergency care as indicated. He/She must adhere to the rules and regulations of the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
- Perform activities of daily living

- Maintain infection control practices
- Use proper body mechanics
- Ensure patient safety and respond to emergencies
- Education:
High school or GED - CNA Certification preferred
- BLS Experience - less than one year
- Entry level
