Job Title: Nurse Aide (Days) - Float Pool
Location: Oklahoma State University Medical Center
Job DescriptionIndividuals within this classification are accountable for activities of daily living to patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The Nurse Aide must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit. The role functions in an assistive capacity to the licensed nurse for technical and environmental patient care activities as delegated under supervision.
Responsibilities include activities of daily living, elimination care, infection control, body mechanics, safety, and emergency care as indicated. The candidate is expected to adhere to the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.
Education: High school diploma or GED
License/Certification:
- CNA Certification (preferred)
- BLS
Experience: Less than one year
