Position: Healthcare Dispatch Coordinator

Location: Tulsa, OK

Pay: $15/hour + $1/hour shift differential

Experience: Previous experience in healthcare, emergency services, or dispatch.

Education: Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Type: Full-time;
Contract

Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:00pm to 6:00am and 7:00pm to 7:00am

Job Description:

• Receive and coordinate incoming requests for air ambulance and aircraft transport services.
• Maintain effective communication between pilots, medical crews, aircraft, and customers.
• Prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls in a fast-paced environment.
• Conduct flight following in accordance with FAA and vendor safety requirements.
• Coordinate communications with hospitals, ground ambulances, and public safety agencies.
• Manage emergency communications and initiate response protocols as needed.
• Accurately document transport activity and communication records.

Position Requirements:

• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under high-pressure situations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Proficiency with computers, typing, and multiple communication systems.
• General knowledge of maps, navigation terminology, and geographic awareness.
• Willingness to obtain Emergency Medical Dispatcher or Certified Flight Communicator certification within 18 months of hire.
