Job Summary
Full Time Days – The Supervisor Physician Office I supervises physician office employees engaged in daily physician practice operations to facilitate effective daily practice operations and delivery of quality patient care. This role serves as direct support to front office or back office and as an alternate to perform the functions of staff in their absence to achieve satisfactory patient care.
Minimum EducationHigh School Diploma or GED.
Licensure, Registration and/or CertificationNone.
Work ExperienceMinimum 3 years of related supervisory experience.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and other applicable software.
- Working knowledge of physician practice management.
- Knowledge of basic fiscal management and human resource management practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, that present clear and concise information.
- Ability to maintain exemplary patient satisfaction.
- Ability to serve as key individual onsite to resolve patient concerns.
- Ability to be detail-oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.
- Provides direct support to front office or back office.
- Prepares reports and correspondence pursuant to physician practice daily operations as required.
- Coordinates the daily operations of the physician practice site.
- Recruits, orients, counsels and evaluates a team of engaged employees to assure quality patient care.
- Serves as liaison for patients, government agencies and third‑party payers providing an onsite contact for individual practice sites.
- Serves as liaison between administration and physicians and staff.
- Assures staff knowledge and compliance with all related entities, HIPAA and OSHA policies and procedures.
- Leads quality initiatives and safety functions.
- Leads activities to promote employee engagement as team members.
- Proficiently uses IDX and other computer applications to achieve optimum patient care efficiencies.
- Assists in the monitoring of the practice site revenue generation and expense allocations.
Independent judgment in making decisions involving non‑routine problems under general supervision.
Working Relationships- Direct supervision of others and preparation of performance evaluations.
- Works directly with patients and/or customers.
- Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face‑to‑face interaction.
- Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
- Works frequently with individuals at Director level or above.
