Overview

Therapitas is a nonprofit that has served Spanish-speaking families in Oklahoma since 2015 with one mission: ensuring Spanish-speaking children have the same access to quality therapy as any other child.

We’re hiring an experienced Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary outpatient team in Tulsa. The ability to speak Spanish is not required. We provide trained interpreter support. For those who want to learn, we’ll provide Spanish lessons or send you to Antigua, Guatemala.

• Spanish Immersion Program (SIP): Want to learn Spanish? We’ll send you to Antigua, Guatemala to immerse yourself in the language and culture. We partner with schools and host families to provide a structured, safe experience abroad that is fully paid for. All experience levels welcome. Video information about SIP is available (no external link necessary).

• A Sustainable Caseload: Most therapists carry about 23–28 hours of direct therapy per week, with caseloads built around experience and preferences.
• Work-Life Balance: Documentation is done at work, not umentation time is built into your schedule, lunch hour is protected, and unfilled cancellations provide additional documentation time.
• Structured Mentorship and Support: New hires go through a formal training and ramp-up period, with ongoing support through regular one-on-ones, documentation guidance, and professional development.

• DPT or PT degree from an accredited program
• Oklahoma PT license or eligibility to obtain
• 3+ years of experience in pediatrics
• Willing and eager to take on students and supervise PTAs
• Passion for working with children and families
• Mission-driven approach to care

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized plans of care for pediatric patients
• Provide skilled intervention to improve strength, mobility, motor development, and functional independence
• Document services in our EMR
• Collaborate with OTs, SLPs, and other team members to provide coordinated, family-centered care
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and Physical Therapy students

• $74,000 – $86,000 per year based on schedule and experience with up to $8,000 signing bonus available for candidates not participating in SIP.
