Job Summary
Tulsa Community College is hiring for a VETT 2233 Clinical Pathology II (spring course).
Instructor ResponsibilitiesInstructor will teach VETT 2233 Clinical Pathology II.
Course Description and Prerequisites16 week, 3 credit hour course. Continuation of VETT 1232 & VETT 1242. Laboratory procedures will include abnormal hematology, blood chemistry analysis, cytology, specialized blood testing techniques, coagulation, and immunology. Lecture 1 hour per week, Laboratory 4 hours per week. Prerequisites:
Admission to VT Program or Program Director approval. Includes lab component. Course will meet twice weekly.
These students are matriculating their 5th semester of the VT Program. This continues prior laboratory/microscopy courses. Students should receive ample opportunities to obtain, prepare, and analyze various blood, chemistry, and other clinical samples.
Safety Sensitive PositionThis is a Safety Sensitive position pursuant to Oklahoma Statute. Marijuana, including medical marijuana, is not permitted. A background check and drug screening are part of the application process.
Minimum Qualifications- Associates Degree in Medical Technology (MLT), or credentialed RVT or DVM with strong interest in clinical pathology.
- Minimum 3 years experience in the practice of clinical pathology, with emphasis on veterinary medicine.
- Earned Bachelors or higher degree in Clinical Pathology, Medical Technology (MLT), Veterinary Medicine or other clinical pathology science degree.
- ASCP certification (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or similar credentialing.
