Location:

Tulsa, OK Pay:$18.00–$21.00/hour

Schedule:

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Status:

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Referral Coordinator/Medical Assistant to join a busy specialty medical practice. This position combines referral coordination, patient scheduling, and clinical support while delivering outstanding patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and schedule incoming patient referrals.
  • Maintain accurate referral documentation in Epic EMR.
  • Manage provider schedules and appointments.
  • Review hospital communications and coordinate follow-up visits.
  • Answer incoming calls and route messages appropriately.
  • Complete appointment reminder calls.
  • Assist patients with questions and resolve concerns professionally.
  • Record vital signs, medical histories, height, and weight.
  • Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed.
  • Maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies.
  • Complete daily reports and maintain HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) preferred.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • 1–2 years of medical office experience preferred.
  • Referral coordination and insurance authorization experience preferred.
  • Epic EMR experience required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and sit for extended periods.
  • Lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Perform repetitive hand movements and clinical tasks.
Work Environment

Fast-paced outpatient specialty clinic providing both administrative and direct patient care.
