Overview

Responsibilities

+ Review patient charts for clinical's needed to obtain authorization.

+ Call insurance companies to obtain authorization and benefits, collect any deductible or out-of-pocket max before procedure / surgery from patients.

+ Ability to navigate insurance web site to obtain authorizations.

+ Strong computer skills in data entry, knowledge of Electronic Medical Record software;
Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Maintain excellent verbal and written communication with patients, providers, and insurance companies.

+ Work independently or as an active member of a team, multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Requirements

+ Two (2) years of medical authorization experience.

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Strong computer skills including data entry and Electronic Medical Record software.

+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
