Job Details Description
This position is primarily responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of the Human Resources Department including recruiting, employee relations, assisting employees with HR related issues, and the administration of policies, procedures, and programs. Carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll processing, Human Resources Information System (HRIS), and benefits administration.
Job Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or equivalent work experience. Other Bachelor's degrees may be considered if the applicant meets the experience requirements stated below.
- Minimum of two (2) years Human Resources experience in diverse roles within the generally accepted Human Resources function.
- Minimum of one (1) experience with payroll administration and/or time keeping preferred
- Excellent computer skills when using a HRIS, Microsoft Office products, for database management report generation and record keeping. Ulti Pro experience a preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to develop and implement on‑going education related to Human Resources systems, policies, procedures and practices for employees in a leadership role as needed.
- Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies.
- Manages the recruiting process including posting approved positions, screening applicants, interviewing, conducting reference and background checks, and extending job offers.
- Conducts the new employee orientation process.
- Manages the employee leave of absence policy and procedures, including FMLA.
- Manages the Identification badge card program and security badge access system including parking permits.
- Support operational leaders in performance counseling as needed.
- Management of Workers' Compensation claims.
- Maintains all personnel files and records in accordance with federal and state law.
- Prepares periodic reports as necessary, including employee census reports, certification/licensure reports, payroll reports, performance appraisal due dates, etc.
- Assists with the development and implementation of employee benefits programs.
- Participates in developing Human Resource department goals, objectives, and systems.
- Assists with compliance‑related matters such as unemployment hearings and ADA.
- Assists with Leadership Development activities.
- Conducts all job functions with a high level of customer service.
