Job Overview

We are seeking a disciplined, detail-oriented HR Supervisor to anchor our Human Resources function. This is a pivotal role focused on the execution, accountability, and legal integrity of our team operations. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will oversee the day-to-day HR workflow, ensuring that our firm remains a compliant, organized, and supportive environment for our professionals.

Key Responsibilities 1. HR Operations & Workflow Supervision
  • Lead the daily administrative operations of the HR department, supervising 1–2 team members.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of recruitment coordination: from job postings and candidate tracking to seamless interview scheduling.
  • Mastermind the onboarding and offboarding experience to ensure every employee starts and ends their journey with clarity and respect.
  • Administer benefits programs, employee enrollment, and maintain meticulous personnel files.
  • Track key HR metrics and provide actionable reports to leadership.
2. Compliance & Risk Management
  • Act as the firm’s safeguard by ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.).
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook and firm policies under the direction of leadership.
  • Conduct regular internal audits of HR records to ensure "audit-ready" status at all times.
  • Coordinate documentation for disciplinary actions and terminations, ensuring all steps are legally sound and professionally handled.
  • Partner with the Director of Operations to mitigate risk and elevate complex employee relations issues.
3. Leadership & Employee Relations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and accountability for HR administrative staff.
  • Support leadership in documenting and following up on performance management initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 4 to 7 years of progressive HR experience; prior supervisory experience is highly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong, up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR compliance.
  • Legal/Professional Services: Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a significant plus.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Proficiency in administering benefits systems and employee documentation platforms.
  • Certification: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification is preferred but not required.
  • Attributes: High attention to detail, impeccable professional judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information with total discretion.
