We’re seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with strong multi-state expertise to support a busy payroll function and ensure accurate, timely processing. This is a long-term contract opportunity with a well-established Tulsa organization, fully onsite.
Key Responsibilities- Process biweekly payroll with precision
- Manage multi-state payroll for both hourly and salaried employees
- Audit timecards, adjustments, taxes, and garnishments for accuracy
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Address employee payroll inquiries in a timely, professional manner
- Assist with union payroll/union dues
- Support reporting, audits, and year‑end activities
- Assist with system updates and continuous process improvements
- 5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll for 100+ employees
- Experience working within payroll systems like ADP, UKG, etc
- Proficient in Excel
- Strong problem‑solving skills and clear communication
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
